Eagles Stomp Miami, Move on to play WMU

     VS.

        A 2nd half highlight reel for Eastern Michigan, give the Eagles a big win in the MAC Tournament. A solid 58-47 win over Miami OH. Eastern Michigan will move on and play rival Western Michigan tomorrow at 9PM EST. WMU hasn't played a game yet in the MAC tourney.

       EMU started the game alright, both teams going at each other, and Miami tried tieing it before half, but a 3 pointer for EMU gave the Eagles a 3 point lead going into halftime which gave EMU momentum going into the 2nd half.

        A big part of this game was forcing Miami to turn the ball over. EMU's defense was strong in this game and was able to get' those turnovers. Miami had 20 turnovers in this game. EMU had 16 turnovers all game.

        In the 2nd half, it was a highlight reel for Eastern Michigan, dunk after dunk EMU made it look easy. Glenn Bryant had the dunk of the night for EMU, he goes over a Miami player and slams it home with a 1 handed jam.

        Riley came up big for Eastern Michigan once again, he finished with 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 huge blocks along with 4 steals. These stats are remarkable when you compare them to earlier in the season. Riley also had a big impact from the free throw line, he went 4 for 6 from the line in this game.

         A huge step for Eastern Michigan was, 4 players scored in double digits. Thompson finished with 14 points, 6 of those points were because of 3 pointers. Harrison had 11 points, not far behind was Riley and Bryant both with 10, and JR Sims with 8.

         As a team the Eagles out-rebounded Miami 27-22, Riley and Harrison leading the team in rebounds. EMU shared the ball well, they had 13 assists. Also had 9 steals, and 4 blocks. EMU shot 43% from the field, 36% from behind the arc, and 69% from the free throw line.

         Eastern Michigan moves on to play rival Western Michigan for a chance to move on and play the 2 seed Ohio Bobcats. EMU will play WMU at 9PM, you can watch the game on ESPN3.com or listen on WEMU.
